Jonathon New

Jonathon New is a Graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, who graduated with a Bachelor of Music-Music Composition in 2025. He is based out of Fishers, Indiana. He is a composer, conductor, and jazz bassist, and focuses on music composition and Jazz performance. Jonathon’s music encompasses both contemporary classical and contemporary jazz music, and he has been performing music for over 11 years.

Jonathon has had his music performed at conferences for the Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers (CFAMC), as well as at various institutions, including Indiana Wesleyan University and Houghton University. His music has been performed in Minneapolis (MN), Houghton (NY), and Marion (IN). 

Jonathon’s piece, “Elliot’s Song,” was commissioned by the Sing Me a Story Foundation and premiered at Marion High School and was debuted in 2024

Recently, Jonathon has completed a Sinfonietta entitled “Dance of the Bluejays,” as well as a Handpan piece titled “A Road Towards Harmony.”

Outside of music, Jonathon enjoys video games, spending time walking throughout nature, and is a major coffee enthusiast, spending much of his free time in various cafes around his hometown.
